Mission Point is located on the Saint Mary's River south of Sault Saint Marie. It is a popular spot for boat watching as boats approach and leave the Soo Locks. There is a small restaurant at the north end and the Sugar Island Ferry leaves from there too

The Edward B. Green was launched in 1952. During the 1975-76 winter layup Fraser Ship Yard in Superior, Wisconsin added 120 feet to her bringing her total length to 767 feet. This increased her cargo capacity from 20,150 tons to 26,750 tons. The 1981 addition of her unloading boom decreased her capacity to 25,900 tons.

The Cleveland Cliffs Company sold her to Rouge Steel Corporation and she was renamed the Benson Ford (III).

I developed an interest in photography at a young age, often following my father around while he took pictures. From that I learned the basics and purchased my first camera while still in high school. I learned more through reading and trial and error. My first formal training came in 2013 when I took a basic photography class at a community college. During high school I became fascinated with the freighters that sailed on the lakes. The boats intrigued me and for a time I wanted to work on them. My career took me down a different path, but I never lost my interest in the boats.
